I guess I need a Psychologist...?!

I'm not sure what is going on, but I kind of feel like I need a proper humans doctor who would just let me talk and listen. Help me think the right things. Twist my worries to some sensible things. I just don't know anymore and I really do feel so so soooooo sorry for myself.

Again, I'm not sure if there are any psychologists here in town, trustworthy ones? I'm also not sure how people interpret this? I know I'm not crazy but I need peace with my inner self and I can't have it. For a person who can't share much and bottles up most of everything, I guess I just need that doctor to listen to me. I don't want the doctor to say I'm strong, weak, lunatic, perfect or what-so-ever, I just need to let it all out.

I guess it is the time of the year when I'm supposed to go to Makka.

the allergy ATTACK!

Around 10 days back, I got one of the worst allergy fits I ever had in my life. Normally you would say people have allergies from dust, strawberries, some types of fish, tomatoes, ketchup ...etc but I'm allergic to pineapple. Yes, PINEAPPLES.

Normally the reaction would be an itchy feeling in my mouth, that would spread to the whole face and then my body but as soon as I hit the shower, it all goes away.

I felt ashamed of saying no to that candy. I had a piece and I ended up with a burned face, aching and itching body that crawled all the way to my blood system. It was so heavy I couldn't stand sitting or standing normally.

Normally, I would have my allergies medicine in my bag at all times, but I noticed I was becoming better so I thought I wouldn't need them. I'm afraid of not having them in my bag at all times now. Shortages of breath, sniffing as if you are taking cocaine, scratching your body so hard you tear up your skin is just unbearable.

Now, the question is? Are you allergic to anything and how do you reach to such fits if you ever had them?

Been so long since I published a post as such, so the 10 things I learned this week are as follows:

1- No matter how much praise you get after you get humiliated, insulted and broken, it doesn't make you happy any more.

2- Breaking the rules for the sake of FUN is therapeutic.

3- It is hard to focus on studying.

4- Patience is important when you need to work things with the government. Fighting for your own right doesn't work most of the time.

5- Complaints work miracles to getting things done.

6- UPS is the worst courier service I've ever had to deal with.

7- Friends can deceive you this days.

8- Going back to school is very nice, on another level of understanding.

9- Exercising constantly can amazingly affect your whole system.

10- Dying your hair is terrible sometimes, if there is no maintenance with hair treatments.

Been fancying some things lately and I'm getting so obsessed. Not that I'm that kind of girl when it gets to these things but I really do feel like I want think. I got so bored of the accessories I wear, mainly jewelery and gold, so, it seems like its the right time to think of a way to accessorize and decorate my wrists, neck and fingers.

Frey Wille, is one.
I want either a necklace or a bracelet. I don't like things that clutter and cling and make sound, but I really am adoring some of their designs and believe it is time to obtain something as such.

This one is something I would love, from all their collection. It is colorful, simple and abstract. No flowers, no being dovey lovey, just bold and simple.

Random ranting

I guess it always ends up this way. Me back to having a random post every once in a while. Well, I'm not sure how to put it, but I did mention that this year is going to be quiet challenging for me. Apparently, it is very real and I'm still consuming the fact. You know when you have to deal with everything all at the same moment. Not exactly at the same moment but things happen at the same time. Ok let me make it a bit easier. Going to university in class, your boss calls, vendors for your business call and your family texts you. I hope it doesn't happen regularly. lol.

Anyways, uni started already and the best part about going back to school is that I won't have to attend university but for 1 weekend every six weeks. Everything is going to be online and through email correspondents. That lifts a bit from the hard work.

Now, I feel like my boss at work has just realized he haven't set any goals for me for the coming year and he is regretting it so much since he can't evaluate my performance. Hence, he can't say no to HR with regards to my bonus. So, his reaction to this is dumping more work, new projects, and pushing me to the limits. Sunday used to be archiving and tending to Singapore office requests, while Thursday is more of wrapping up things and making them ready for the week after. Now, my situation changed to working after working hours because of the load, and I hate doing that so much! Everything is just documented and has to be done, regardless of if I'm briefed or not. Even work that is not my job is dumped on me. All I ever said, "sure, I'll do it right away or I will get on it." I don't mind because I know our micro manager is trying to exam how much I can take the pressure. As long as I maintain having a lunch break I'm totally fine. What really bugged me is when I asked for my leave which was carried from last year he just said, get the tasks done and you don't really have to go on leave, sacrifice them. Encashment is not possible and so I have to work my a** off. lol.

Now, leaving the office doesn't mean I'm back home and resting. Twice a week, the trainer comes to my house and gets me working on my body. Yes, I'm determined to get that knee to function again and well get my figure back. Maintaining a good diet (I eat whatever I like, just fixed the timings and the portions of food) and working out. I also subscribed for a membership at fitness first. They are opening really soon, so I will inshallah manage to leave the office, work out and then go home except for the two days the personal training is going to come and the weekend. Other than that, after work, is tending to my business, from accounts, marketing and all. It is a bit of a hassle and so I'm planning to hire a part time accountant to do the tally job. The employees are helpful and eager. We all just can't wait to get the final stage of the shop done and get it operating the way it should be operating.

Family and friends, ok this is an area I'm supposed to work on. Well, since I'm trying to manage my time, I kinda found that I really missing on my family and friends. Especially when I closed the blackberry service for good. And I'm not going to have it back. Whatsapp is working miracles for me. Whatever I'm missing is being forwarded to me by my sister. The only best way is being able to call whoever is available to talk while I'm working. Yes, a multitasked to the core. haha.

What about entertainment?! Online shopping, movies late at night to get me to sleep directly, and oh yeah when I can sneak from not doing anything would nag my brother to go with me to the cinema or my sisters to the mall. From time to time, it would be doing something different about my hair to make me feel good about myself lol.

I kinda sound very boring these days. I just try to think of an alternative way to organize my life and I can't find anything better. At one point, isolating myself from many people including my family was the solution but I'm a social person who can't live all alone.

- They say my temper has improved but I don't see that clearly.
- I want to go for painting just for the sake of it.

This is the second time I'm writing this post as the first one got deleted by mistake. That's the problem with using smart phones to publish something.

Ne ways, Happy New Years y'all and may it be a year filled with peace, love, joy, happiness and successful achievements.

I was il7imdillah able to accomplish some of the things on my list for last year, yet this year will be a bit more challenging.

My list goes as:
- Study well and excel in it.
- Lose weight, become fit and maintain it.
- Stop shopping for things I want and don't need.
- Do more charitable stuff.
- Manage my business from a distance.
- Go on a lovely vacation.
- Go back to learning French.
- Have time to read more frequently.
- Find more time for my friends.

I guess the hardest will be to balance these things.

days of my life in 2011

This year has been a year full of surprises. I didn't like it much with its global, nations wide and personal happenings. There were happy moments, but agony was there in the air too. I'm sure if I start talking about global issues I won't stop giving my opinion about every tiny whiny piece of info, therefore, I will be discuss things that happened to me. Not that I want to talk about the I, which I hate but it is the easiest to dictate on a person blog.

Now, year 2011, started with me completing a year at work and already hating it. They shuffled me around a lot. Mid of the year they decided to be merciful and confirm me on the organization chart permanently reporting to a jerk of a useless boss, who I'm very sorry to say is as useless as every. I had so much in me that I really needed a break after that and forced him to sign my leave and went to Makka. One wonderful vacation I had. My heart eased a bit and I felt comfortable and sincere after that. Calmed down as they say. It showed in my face.

After that, I also went on my first fun vacation, Malaysia truly Asia. Ummm. Having the kids was the most fun of all. It is definitely a place I would go to again. Can't escape though, I had to get back to the stupid job and routine.

At that stage of my life, my only escape from misery and stress was going snowboarding. I used to go with my friend every weekend or every other weekend. Once I was so annoyed at work, I called my brother and told him to take me to Dubai Mall I will buy a snowboard and come back. Yes, I because that person, who would get stressed and go get something I want immediately. The same week, I went to snowboard with my nephew and ended up using the board for once until today. A guy bumped into me and sat on my left knee, he broke it. Got a fracture by the tip of the medial tibia. Was it painful? well I knew hell that moment, but all I could do is laugh hysterically.

Sitting at home made me go buy a TV and put it in my room. I was always always against having a TV in my room but well, with a cast from above my knee to the tips of my toes no entertainment was better than TV, movies and eating all day long. TV wasn't simply enough, I called in the hairdresser every some time to do something with my hair. It was fun actually because I had nothing better to do. The only advantage at that time was whenever I yelled or my sticks would fall on the ground with a loud clang, everybody would be in my room to assist. I was invited to dine out and was constantly on a wheel chair to my advantage, lol. I sound such a bi-atch lol. I dunno I just really hated how people stared at me when I walked with my crutches or was wheeled around. I just didn't give a damn about it.

An amazing thing happened at that time. An article about me and my business was on the news. I kept receiving calls and SMSs or congrats. Also emails. But I also started getting jealousy vibes and stupid comments. Yeah, till today or no matter what day I will still receive both. It was amazing how people I don't know started encouraging me. Whenever I go to the cooperative, the workers there would come and shake hands with me and wish me the best. That article made me decide that it is a commitment I had put for myself and I should be able to fulfill my dream.

I started working on building my business step by step. From getting a loan to the smallest things no one would ever think about like a napkin tissue. Now we are almost over to delivering the project and I'm already excited about starting another venture but on a slower and later pace. il7imdillah, I feel blessed by having the support I got and still getting from my family, my friends and even society. I don't even know how I can pay gratitude to their meaningful support.

By June, I was cast free, and was in middle of working on my business. I had to go on a recruitment campaign of my own. I chose Nepal and went to interview potential workers to work for the business. I'm lucky I found my candidates and they are arriving shortly. It was a weekend escape but was a great one. Then came Ramadan and I had already decided that I would go to Makkah again. il7imdillah God blessed me to see his holly house twice in the same year. It was very crowded but magical. This time I also visited Madina for the first time in my life. I loved it. Simply loved it. This whole Ramadhan in Madina and Makkah experience made me think seriously about performing pilgrimage in the coming years. I want it sooo much I can't or don't know how to express it.

But guess what? I came back with my knee not fully recovered. I went through surgery. Now, I'm better and on the road of recovery, yet I still have way to go. I still stumble in my walk, I not confident about wearing heels, and can't perform any type of sports as I would like. I look forward to the day I can do things normally without rethinking million times if I should do it or not.

The depressing part is that I reached a 60kg. I never never in my life reached a 60. I feel soooo fat and I'm still hating my rounded figure lol. Now that I'm recovering il7imdillah, I'm back to physiotherapy and after finishing physiotherapy I will inshallah get a personal trainer home and get my figure back. You know the feeling when you look at you clothes in their tags and can't wear them. I reached that stage lol.

Now, the worst part of the whole year could be only a feeling, but I also lost friends, whom I thought are friends. I'm the apology and satisfying people kind of person. It doesn't matter if it will hurt my feeling, and I can bottle them up and deal with them on my own. Well, I guess, the bottle couldn't handle it and broke into pieces. Now, that is when people started misjudging me, my reactions and even the way I talk, mostly text that can be interpreted in another way when you don't really mention it the way it was understood. That is one of the reasons why I closed the Blackberry service for good. For those friends, I would like to say I'm sorry I can't say sorry anymore, for something I didn't do.

The funny part. I became a spend thrift even more. Hmmm in one year, it seems I purchased a lot of items, for a person with my mentality I feel like I went over board lol.

Other than that, I can't recall what have slipped my mind while sty ping this long post so stay tuned,

iPad CF Card, since both my cameras use CF cards except for my PoGo, I feel like I really need one. Plus when I travel I don't really take my computer with me these days, my iPad is sufficient enough.

I want one of those. Compatible with my Smart TV. Plus I can use it wherever. It's sporty and wirelessly connected via bluetooth. I can use Skype on my TV freely with it.

I want a fake tattoo as interesting and simple as this and I want to place it in the inner side of my wrist.

As crazy as it might sound, I want to also get myself some feather extensions.

It's a purse, it's metallic and its colorful. Does the job on quick hangouts and coffee time. It's not compulsory to carry huge bags at all times right?!

Since I got rid of the blackberry, I'm thinking of a good replacement. Should it be the new Samsung Galaxy, I seriously don't know.

Ok, I guess that's it for the mean time. Been shopping a lot lately and I just found that I have almost everything I ever wanted. It sort of, sort of reached to the point where shopping isn't pleasure anymore. Just doing it for the sake of shopping. lol.

When I first got a blackberry few years back, myfriends mocked me saying "why do you need it? you are not a businesswoman!" Now that I have become a business woman, I'm losing the blackberryfor good.

You'd ask me why? what happened? there are still goodthings about blackberry! how about the bbm and all your friends?

All I have to say is that I can't deny all the goodthings and benefits of a blackberry, but over time it lost its valuable factor.To me at least.

I do like to be joyful and express myself a lot, jokeand make fun out of stupid things, be serious sometimes but I guess my wordsare never understood the way they should be. BB had a major role in makingthings complicated for me.

I'm everyone faces problems with written text but if it had to be suffocatingly overwhelming, and the cause is the BBMfeature on blackberry, I've finally decided to lose it for good.

To everyone who knows me, and maybe. ever judged mefor what i write, then I'm just a call, sms and email away.

To less complicated life and a relaxed one too.

So, I finally managed to watch the movie. Haven't read the book, but the movie was really ah-may-zing. I even haven't watched a really good good movie like this one in so long. And guess what, HE Mohamed Khalaf Al Mazrouei produced it, that was just jaw dropping moment for me. If you havent watched go watch it, if you did, share your insight about the movie.

the adventures of TINTIN...

I'm no big fan of the adventures of Tintin and I wasn't interested in watching the cartoon series ever. Yesterday, out of stress and boredom, I took myself to go watch a movie at the cinema and it wasn't showing anymore. So, I ended up watching Tintin in 3D. It wasn't a bad movie at all. I loved the 3D cartoonish effect they used and I would rate the movie as 7.5/10. It was worth it.

- Strange things happen, but reality is something we can't deny.

- I guess I gained few kilos as I can't fit in my clothes again :(. I need to start dieting since I'm still not fully recovered.

Arthroscopy and what happens next...

Exactly a week ago, I went through an arthroscopy surgery for my injured knee. It was on Tuesday October 18, 2011. After I've had enough of bull shit and doctors driving me back and forth with their diagnosis', their prescriptions and the increasingly continuous pain. So, n Sunday I called in Abu Dhabi Knee and Sports Medicine Centre where the doctor at first sight of my MRI recommended an arthroscopy and I scheduled my surgery on Tuesday.

This time I was convinced. I packed my bag in the morning and was at the hospital to be prepped at around 7am. I guess I was the first patient to enter the hospital. They were turning the lights on when I entered, lol.

In less than an hour, the anesthesia doctor came in and explained the three methods of anesthesia and asked me which one I would like to have. We signed the papers and bam, I had a nap. At 15 mins to 9, the nurse shook me awake and told me to get changed and ready for surgery. In few minutes I was on that scary bed and shaking from cold. They won't let me wear my socks. lol. Yeah my hello kitty socks.

1st needle in my hand, few medicine through my veins, heart bean thingy on my index finger, few questions, anesthesia, oxygen and we go to the surgery room.

More questions, do you feel the ice on your leg. "what ice?" The next thing I really remember is that they cleaned my leg with that thingy, me requesting for the screen to be near so I can see the whole thing, and them called the surgeon, "doc we are ready!"

With that oxygen, they knocked me down. I slept through the whole thing, although I wanted to watch, they let me sleep. Yeah, shame!.

Ne ways, they shook me to wake me up. My head was heavy. They took me back to my room and they asked if I needed anything. I told them to turn the lights off and I went back to sleep. The breakfast came in, I had to wake up, looked at it in disgust, had a bite and pushed the tray back. They pain started coming back. I called the nurse, I needed painkillers. I had morphine. Knocked out again and back to sleep in short intervals. I guess I got high. Lunch came in and good thing Saeed came in that time. I didn't have to eat that disgusting food, I got cupcakes.

Btw, forgot to mention that I was all alone all the time, until that moment when Saeed came over. By the time my sister came, it was almost 5 or 6 pm. The physiotherapist came in, got me crutches and instructions sheet.

She started explaining what the doctor did and what I'm to do in the coming couple of months ...etc. Guess what, I'm so lucky il7imdillah tab il3alameen million times. Wallah I can't be thankful enough. Apparently, the MRI result mentioned that I had a grade 3 tear in the medial meniscus. I had none of that. All what was wrong was a lot of inflammation around the area. il7imdillah all the meniscus' were fine. So the doctor cleaned and cleared the inflammation out and stitched the two holes he made. I'm to work on simple exercises at home as my knee muscles are almost dead as the physiotherapist said. I can walk without crutches but because of hospital policy I have to take them with me and I need to take my ice flask along to apply on my knee.

I'm to report back to change the bandage and get my supply of bandages in couple of days. Then on October 29, to take the stitches off. After that I', scheduled for 3 months of physiotherapy. I'm so looking forward to that.

For some reason I had to ask the physiotherapist several questions and my sister and nephew kept laughing at me.
- Am I going to wear heels soon? "YES"
- Am I going to be able to ride a bicycle? "YES"
- Am I going to be able to work out and do aerobics and shape up my figure again? "YES"
- Am I going to ride my board again? "Yes dear you are, just be patient and have will."

Anyways, I so felt like getting myself a new pair of trainers. Well, I get running shoes and I use them for training and literally everything. Those new tech running shoes are just so amazing. I can't wait for my knee to say, yallah , it is time to hit the gym and run on that treadmill.

For camera lovers, the collection of lensbaby is more than just a few lenses. Its a great lenses invention made to help you utilize your DSLRs in a much more creative meaning than normal lenses. I bought the creative kit for myself to try but I guess I can't judge the lenses until I try them. However, the pictures in website convinced me to go ahead and purchase the kit. Waiting for the kit to arrive and will update you with some picture. It feels like Instagram on a DSLR rather than iPhone.

Hair Spray,,,, NOT

Back in March 2011, is when I started working on my hair. I was tired of how tired it looked, very dead, and not bright at all. So, I called in one of the hairdressers and I told her I want a change. I've tried everything and I just want something that will get me my hair back to normal and natural status. Plus, you need to mind the frizzes, I need them to cool down.

The meeting was scheduled and she came. I surprised her saying that I want a haircut that will make look totally different and refreshed.

Guess what?! I dyed my hair, cut it really short (to my satisfaction) and had a treatment session.

My hair gradually changed from good to better il7imdillah.

However, for the last few treatments and hair dyes, I'm not sure the hairdresser is doing her job properly despite that thousands she gets when she is done. I barely can feel the difference between being treated or not.

I can't deny that my hair feels softer and has a glow. It even looks fresh. But I need the treatments to work and I need the hairdresser to listen to me when I say I like a specific treatment not the other. Or else, I would have to replace her for someone else.

I just don't know.!!!

Wallah I'm old enough to watch a 18+ movie. I was wearing makeup and well if it looks natural enough its not my problem. I can't help it that I have baby face features.

Seriously, I felt like, I wish I could wear heels, and look a bit older to escape that moment of embarrassment.

The aftermaths of a fracture...!

How should I explain this? Around a week ago I went for a follow up visit at the knee and sports center to get my MRI result. The Dr. diagnosed that I have a tear in the mensicus and the report showed it. The report illustrates it as "horizontal grade III tear in the posterior horn of the medial meniscus". And so the Dr. decided that he needed to do an Arthroscopy for my injured knee, he also said he might interfere by stitching or removing whatever. I freaked out and I got all nervous to the extent where my mood changed 180 degrees. It is really scary and I couldn't understand what he wanted to do. He didn't even explain it to me in English. Saturday was the day the surgery was scheduled and so I bailed. I forced myself to sleep and when I woke up I called to apologized saying I had some family issues and couldn't make it to the surgery.

Today, Monday, September 19, I went for a second opinion. Guess what? the sketch below shows clearly what happened to the meniscus. It's not bad, it can heal over time, but if the pain persists, then the surgery decision should be taken. For now, I'm not to bend my knee more than 30 degrees. I'm not to tire myself. Driving is alright since it is the left knee that is injured. No exercising. No sitting on the floor. I have to be over over PATIENT and take my vitamins on time.

I agreed on waiting, so it will either be a week from now, if the pain is still there, then I visit the doctor again, and if not then we agreed on me sending an email saying I'm ok and will see him in 4 weeks time. The only thing is that I'm to strictly follow a regime of relaxing my knee and stop bending it. It could heal itself and get back to normal but I also have to be cautious after the healing process. Yes, I'm still scared but I hope for the best. Inshallah my knee gets better soon.

I don't know where to start,,, I kinda lost track of what revolves around me in this chaotic life. Ok, let us just rewind a bit, get back to the last update.

If I were to say the diet is working out, I'm lying big time. Yes I do eat less and try my best to have everything grilled and filled with fibre, it isn't going to work when I'm simply not moving and having my meals come to me. The only good thing is that I started walking and actually picking stuff and sorting them out. Baking baking and baking. Cooking sometimes and going for groceries. I'm moving a bit now and I'm thankful. I guess I might use the treadmill when I feel confident a bit but very very slowly to get my left leg used to the pattern and motion.

I'm not sure if I progressed much, but I'm walking without crutches now. The physiotherapist showed me how to walk in a way to avoid or simple decrease the chance of me limping like a penguin. Today, I will have a session with her and then I'm to visit the doctor as see how much of the bone have healed. The last time I visited there was this tiny bit that wasn't healed. My only concern is that the orthopedic wants to force bend my knee for me. I'll try the drama queen strategy again and I hope it works, I can't help it having pain all over again.

Super ANTI is super. Getting used to us and the new place. The way I like my stuff to be done. The forced exercises in order for me to recover. The trying to do something without me asking for it. The effort as a whole is appreciated.

I took a week off my annual leave. I needed some break from the drama that's going on at work. It is good, at least I'm able to focus on my exercises and my business plan. The business thingy is just very complicated and takes a lot of time and patience. Regardless of my fragmented thoughts about what I want to do, I need that first thing to be done in order to complete with the other steps. But, at the same time, there are those other stuff that I also need to do at the same time and they are just really overwhelming. Too many concerns and very little time.

The headaches, OMG, I don't understand what is going on. I seriously can't even explain anything about it. It is just overwhelming and the endless pills are just there to keep me sustained.

Saif graduated from school yesterday. Mabroook buddy. I swear to God he was dancing on stage before he was called to collect his degree. lol. You are going to make a great psychologist!

I'm not traveling this summer, it makes me feel sad a bit but I'm going to be alright. I've already managed to have plans for Ramadhan and after that I wish for the best. It is this summer that I will end up in the heat, the humidity and the lonely days. lol.

Everytime I say to myself, finally I'm done with throwing out junk, I find more junk to throw away. It just never stops. Now, I will try to sort this problem out because it is just so unbearable. Few days ago I threw out heaps of paper, I didn't even know where it came from lol.

Anyways, my mind is blocking again, I'll try to update more often.

The Abaya Chronicles...

Dear Dr. T,

Read your book last month and I rate it 8/10. It is a very motivational book. Especially that it brought up women within Abu Dhabi to the spot and showed how much will can lead to something successful. It's a the Girls from Riyadh version of Abu Dhabi. I loved the chronological way the book smoothed all the puzzles, information, how it defended Abu Dhabi and the no bias factor. But, as you know there are always buts, the marriage factor was just a bit of a spice up. I don't agree with all what been said, maybe I look at it from my own perspective. I don't see how these ideas came to you when writing the story, yet I know to where you were trying to reach. It sounded more of a message to me, a motivational message to make girls and women in Abu Dhabi divert their lifestyles. To some it would be to the better but to others I believe nothing will ever change. It 's 21st century and we still live conservatively, haha.

It is a good read. A page turner but I'm a slow reader. Very motivational. Teaching and opens your mind to things we never noticed or realized. It is a good book, don't hesitate just get it off the shelves and start reading.

the DIET, the ASSISTANT, the WORK, and the ALL...

I've been lying sooo much on my bed and couch that I gained weight, not because I caused it but because I couldn't walk and exercise normally. All to good will. It's my fate after all. So, I decided to go on DIET, to help me lose weight and so when I'm ready to stand on both feet, I can go back to exercising in any possible form. Yes, I'm hungry most of the time, but I've tried it before and know that if I exceeded it wont work. As soon as I recover fully, I will go back to eating normally, but looking closely at what I eat. I'm into everything grilled, so I hope it works out.

As for the knee, il7imdillah, thank God I'm recovering. I'm able to bend more and the swelling better. The knee looks deformed, but I noticed that it is going back to its normal status. il7imdillah. I'm even able to sit normally with my knee at an angle. Will and support from the personal assistant is helping me exercise in order to recover.

So, I found her, the super MAID/ NANNY/ PERSONAL ASSISTANT. I thought of it and I found her and I'm greatly thankful to actually have her. My sister called me to say: well, I guess I found the maid you want, shall I pick you up and go see her? I went, interviewed her, it all felt ok and took her home for a one week probation. Her main role is ME, starting with everything within my room and myself, then when she is capable and on her own will, will help the others in the house.

I call her SUPER ANTI (a nickname) because I'm happy about her. She is determined to make me recover faster than I expect. She forces me exercise and have my foot and knee massaged. She believes, in order to have the blood circulating in the muscles, I have to let her massage my leg from knee to foot, because the muscles need to WAKE UP. To be honest, it worked!!! There is more about SUPER ANTI, but that was the major thing. She will probably pop up in future updates.

The WORK, haaaah, I work 3 days a week, two days I'm off because of physiotherapy. There is not much of pressure on me. As I try my best to do whatever is on my plate. Especially that my colleagues are of major help and they are making exceptions for me at work.

The weather and the headaches. I hate I hate I hate. The headaches wont stop, it is just too hot and too sunny. All I could say is "allah yjeerna mn nar jahanam". Seriously, having to wake up every single day with a headache ruins everything.

The spending. I swear to God, I'm trying not to spend but it is in my blood. Now, I have to go back to restructuing my finances. Good thing Im fat now, I won't spend on clothes, but I end up spending on electronics and luxuries. Am I normal, I guess so, but NOT. So, I should promise myself not to spend on useless stuff. Should tie my hands from going that road. Just for a while. Thinking of the, sales will hit the stores in mid June. SUUULK. lol.

The backaches. Yeah, that's included in the equation. Now that I'm confident to walk using my crutches, I visited Dr. Maurice and had a love chiropractic session. He saw my injury and kept preaching me, then SUPER ANTI also added the icing on the cake. Another appointment is scheduled as the muscles are jumbled up and tense.

I can't help it that I can't do things normally until I can walk. So, my 3 sisters and brother have had enough. They suggested that I get my own maid/ nanny/ assistant, to be at my service when I need her.

Her major responsibility is anything to do with ME. It starts with cleaning my room, organizing things, accompanying me to Dubai, do my appointments, and since she will be literate and knows how to use the computer, whatever papers I need her to type and fix, she will do it.

The SUPER MAID/ NANNY/ ASSISTANT ha started and I hope I find the wonder woman that will do everything for me.

The joke now is that my siblings are saying: haha we didn't get you a personal maid when you were a kid, but you are going to have one when you are all grownup. What a spoiled brat.!

fractured 3

Loosing the sense of time and days is just a normal thing when all you do is lie on this bed or sit on that couch. I thought my appointment was on Thursday, May 5th and arranged for my sister to skip work earlier in order to take to the hospital. Ne ways, I reach the hospital and with confidence I present my health card and get seated. The next thing, the sweet lady comes and says, well guess what, you appointment was yesterday but I'm gonna talk to your doctor to make an exception. I finally see the doctor. He was like: remind me please. I started explaining the drama that happened at the emergency and he cracked up laughing. He checked my file and started typing on his computer. Looking at his screen and answering my inquiries. I said my foot is swollen, I can feel my knee burning and I still ache. He said you are fine. Now, John will take this cast off and you go and get an x-ray.

So, John and Red keep joking and Red prepared his electronic razor or whatever they call it and started cutting the cast off. I was scared he'd cut into my skin, lol. They took it off and wrapped it for me to take it. I have it lying by my wardrobe. They got me a supporter with a hinge and placed it instead of the cast. Still heavy and I had to drag myself to physiotherapy. The doctor checked on my leg and said we wont be doing anything for the day. Your appointment will be n Sunday and we will teach you how to make these muscles work and bend your knee 90 degrees. I said: I can't. He said: you will.

Sunday... Brother takes me and he keeps at the clinic. He worked for few years at the same hospital and so he went to say hi hello to the people he knew. I was taught 6 different exercises. 1 hour and we were done from doctor's lecture and physiotherapy. I'm to exercise at home and to visit again for another session on Wednesday morning. Advice from the physiotherapist is that I should apply cold pack or ice when I'm not walking or lying down for the swelling to cool down. I'm instructed not to wear those supporters unless I'm walking long distances.

Now, I understand that the fracture haven't healed properly but the doctor decided to take the cast off, because the fracture is by the knee joint. You could say just below it. If the cast stays longer then my knee will take a long time to recover and will be stiff for longer than needed. I'm not to put any pressure on my injured leg, walk with crutches and hinge supporter and cool my knee whenever possible and exercise 3 times a day. The doctor dwelled with me regarding an extended sick leave and I'm off the hook one more week. Next Sunday I will be driven to work. Yeah, I'm not sure I'm ready for work yet.

For now, I'm going to enjoy the last few days of freedom.

Dreams coming true

My cousin's wife is Swedish. As she knew of my injury, she said il7imdillah you are okay. Normal talk and then the idea of visiting Sweden in the future popped the surface. She's taking me on snowboarding vacation there next winter when I'm well and fit. Inshallah.

I SERIOUSLY CAN'T WAAAAIIIIITTTT!

Pampering stage

Being injured and sick, staying at home and trying to rest and not move in order to heal is depressing. Talking to the wall is even more depressing. Having to receive calls from brother and sister mid-day is sorta depressing because they try to lift my spirit and I'm still in that stage of feeling pain and trying to plaster smiles here and there. I'm thankful to them for their concerns and checking on me regularly.

Ne ways, so, I needed to pamper myself. Some kind of reward is good sometimes in turning my spirit from blue to purple (purple is good). So, the day I finally finalized everything for my business participation at the event, Sameer, a good friend chauffeured me around town. It started with breakfast at McDonald's and then we went to get me the dream TV. I got the 3D Samsung Smart TV of the 7 series in 46" with built in WIFI. It came along with a Blu Ray DVD player, 4 movies and 3 3D glasses.

Friday was the event and we all worked hard. Il7imdillah, it was successful and I'm glad people were really interested and enthusiastic about the whole event. I'm actually looking forward toward future opportunities and can't thank the organizers enough for choosing us to be part of the event.

Saturday was the day I needed to visit my aunt. She had surgery last Wednesday and Saturday was the only option for me to visit and wish her a fast recovery. Around 10:30 am we headed to Dubai, got some flowers and chocolate on the way and straight to the hospital. I never escaped the accusations about the snowboard purchase and actually me being the cause of the accident. I had to hear and transfer the stupid talk to the garbage. It was just pure nonsense.

The next thing I really ever wanted for some time now was a new DSLR camera. It took me time to decide which one I wanted and so when I decided, the prices went bit high. I called the supplier I buy cameras, lenses... etc stuff from and made a good deal for a Canon 5D Mark II body only. So, my sisters were patient with me and took me to buy my camera. You can't imagine my smile of satisfaction.

I was finally able to try out the camera today morning and registered my account to log on to twitter and facebook from my SmartTV too. I made good purchases for years to come. I feel good about them. Electronics is one of the best way I can always pamper myself. hehe.

I'm afraid the only thing I really need now is the QWERTY remote control for the TV but it isn't yet released in the markets. Not online at least.

On the Bulletin Board:

- Had a hair treatment. Will be dying my hair this Wednesday inshallah.

- The TV is pure genius invention.

- I shall not move from bed or my couch. The pain is pure torture.

- I need to teach the maid how to make porridge for me.

- As much as I hate work, I kinda miss it very little.

Fractured 2

The report is out, but my brother insists on getting my x-rays and CT scans to show them to his Orthopedic surgeon. *Bro undergoing a surgery soon for his knee, sometime long time ago, he abused it playing football and the tragic accident left nothing for him* Back to story, I'm so amazed at although we have a lack of good doctors we really have advanced medical technology at our hospitals. I'm thankful I was admitted to Al Rahba Hospital not SKMC because the doctor who is actually looking after my condition is Arab. (il7imdillah) I swear to God, they told me should we go to SKMC, I said I don't know but when we were almost near Al Rahba Hospital detour, I changed my mind.

So, doctor's last visit was as follows: (he is one adorable Egyptian doctor)

dr.: ahlain, inty ily izayek? K, ib2a 5breeni 3mlti aih?

me: doktoooor, ana a9lan, doktoor mahdy ily shafni fil emergency.

And the cast was applied from the half on my thigh to my toes. It is damn heavy. The first day after the cast when I woke up and tried to move, I felt like I was stitched to bed, I couldn't lift it up. Yeah, I really wanted to cry at that moment. I still feel very sharp pain and exceedingly high temperature at the knee area and guess what my toes has swollen and look like tiny sausages.

So, I went for a scan and back to the doctor. I stared at him and said that I needed a sick leave. He teased me about being greedy and wrote 2 weeks sick leave and next appointment is the day after the sick leave ends. So, I'm not sure what he will say about my knee, I was this week to go fast forward. I need to know if the fracture is healing. I just need to know because I'm tired of depression which I'm not showing to avoid annoying people.

Stop the accusations...

To the insensitive people around there. Enough of the pointless accusations, I'm already depressed and being okay and jolly about it isn't making things any better. I've had enough of you saying what have you done? Why don't you ask yourselves if I was the victim and if I'm ok?

Having to deal with such nonsense is killing me, especially that you aren't the injured person here. Do I want to be like this? NO. Did I choose for this to happen? It is fate, God's will. So cut the slack and if you don't have anything nice to say, just shut the hell up.

One more thing, trying to tease me around about my board in front of my mother makes you just as tiny as an ant and I despise you for that. The feeling of losing something you like and your parent being angry and holding a grudge about it will make you understand how I really feel.

Off to deal talking to the wall.

healing powers

So, as usual, the traditional medical treatment comes along with every injury. Mom wouldn't approve doctors' methods in healing anything and no matter how much medicine they would give us to carry back home, we are succumbed to her traditional medical orders.

I remember once when I was a kid and broke my arm, after she got fed up of the cast, my eldest sister and herself brought some knives and took off the cast. Mom then applied her traditional herbal medicine the way she wanted. When I went to the doctor, he was shocked with what they've done.

Now, I'm to drink milk everyday with some medicine called "Asphaltum Shilajit" in whatever language, or actually we call it "Momayne" الموميان. They told me it is good for healing fractures and broken bones, but I kept thinking about how powerful this medicine is. I had a long session googling information about it and found out that it doesn't only cure Orthopedic problems but soooo many other diseases like asthma, diabetes.... others I :$ to even mention.

I'm so going to have it until my next doctor's visit and I hope I really recover sooner than expected. Click on the link for more information on "Asphaltum Shilajit"

I guess I was OVER OVER EXCITED about my new board I ended up in the emergency last night until around 12:30 am today morning. I nagged about having a snowboard since I really wanted one and since I believed ski Dubai's boards limited me in several ways.

It started with me being depressed. Calling my brother and making a deal to leave to Dubai Mall after work to buy it. I checked Burton and all the sizes were just huge, so I ended up at K2 buying the neon organce Vavavoom rocker recommended to me by Wayn. I got the board, and lovely bindings that wont be harsh on my toes. I previously had my boa viel boots and so I was set. Ready to go.

My neon orange Vavavoom Rocker. The day I bought it, I slept and woke up in the middle of the night to look at it then back to sleep. *ya far7ah ma tamat* il7imdillah ne ways. (Ne one wants to burrow it, it is a 139cm but feels like a bigger board, it is feel 4 bend, used once so basically still the fast speedy feeling is there).

It was scheduled that Saeedo and myself go to Ski Dubai to have fun before he leaves back to London. We had fun at Dubai Mall and then drove to MOE after getting lost and getting through several random detours of endless contructions Dubai. We get there, got dressed and off we hit the slopes.

Any new board is suuuuuper fast because it is waxed. Any rocker board is bendy by nature lol, and very light. So, the first run was from mid station. Several falls, or actually big stops since I was just trying to get used to the board. More attempts from the higher station. When my hands started to freeze is when I was able to control my board. I was just happy that I managed to do it right. The second or third time I did it properly with no stops, no falls and smooth weight shifts is when it all happened.

I was almost by the end, was preparing to halt and scan for the next run. He came from behind me from the left and collided into me. Not only that, he didn't shift his body fast so he fell with all his weight on my left leg. My knee snapped and I cried and howled from the instant pain. My face was a mess, I couldn't answer questions since I was screaming from pain. He asked me if I were okay, I cried loudly, shook my head no and continued crying. I couldn't move, I couldn't bend my knee, I couldn't do anything. The first aid people came, I couldn't answer their questions. He cowardly told them he just collided into me. I realized I had to say he fell hard on me. By then, he disappeared. I didn't see his face from that moment, I guess he was just scared and trying to defend his wrong action. Ne ways, so they pulled me on a tube to the clinic, they undressed me, checked my swollen knee, applied painkillers spray and wrapped it with bandage. They wheelchaired me back to my car and Saeed helped me be seated on the passenger seat. My sisters came. OB drove my car and Safi the other straight back to Abu Dhabi. Saeed kissed me goodbye and took the metro back to JBR for one last night before he leaves back to London.

I entered the emergency and as usual I had to wait in agony. The doctor saw me after some time and sent me for an x-ray. I told him that ski dubai first aid people say it could be a legamint. The x-ray showed I had a broken knee. More of a fracture, which is worse. So, to make sure he sent me back for a CT scan and who loves MRI's, not me at all. A Orthopredic doctor was called in and he confirmed that I won't be walking any time soon. A temporary plaster is put until the swelling gets better. I'm scheduled to see the doctor on Wednesday for a long term plaster. I still have to wait for my sister to get my crutches. I'm using my mom's temporarly which isnt allowing me to go down the stairs. Well to conclude, I will be walking with crutches for the coming 2 months or so, and I'm not allowed sports for 3 -4 months after plaster is off. Another doctor says I will still need to use crutches after plaster is off. Plus phisiotherapy is already scheduled for when the plaster is off.

Now, I'm home-alized. I'm giving Farsha my board to store or else my mom with shatter it into pieces. My bottom is numb. I'm sleeping and waking up at odd hours. On bbm all the time. Receiving calls from all over. Trying to entertain myself in bed. So, I guess I will be doing lots of reading, catching up on my series, praticing more designing and my few words of French.

Malaysia truly Asia

Ok, as promised, here are some snapshots. I know mostly close ups but I was just so fascinated that I forgot to take the whole picture. I just focused on my subjects hehe. So, let us start...

Look closely at these two pictures. The first is the shows the whole Quran. The large green verses are of surat Al Fatiha. The second picture is the ending of the Hoy Quran "9adaqa Allahu Al3a'6eem"

Prophet Mohammed P.B.U.H. characteristics were handwritten in one of the books. "muflj al asnan" means he had a parting between his from teeth. I feel ashamed for putting braces to close the opening I had.

The butterflies were magnificent. I had a great time at that park, I just wished I had a 70 - 200mm canon lens with me. I would have taken much better pictures.

We stopped at the Batu Cave/ Temple. a 365 steps one. When I came down, my legs were shaking. I shouldn't walk properly lol. Then we stopped at the strawberry farm, where they also planted mushrooms.

No monkeys stealing your watch, food in your hand, wallets, then its no fun, lol.

Finally, the Orchids Garden. Guess what? there are gazillion types of Orchids and the only ones we see here are the normal ones.

The UPDATE!

I don't know where to begin... I feel sorry and sad for neglecting my space... I'm still alive... I lost my words somewhere... they all sound cliche' right. To be honest the truth is, I'm really swamped with sooooo many things that I end up using the spare time I have to either spend it with family or actually relaxing and having fun. Relaxing in this term means (having my personal work done). Have I had time to myself, you could say mostly for continuous medical check ups and if on weekends, it is an escape day to Dubai for snowboarding.

As much as I'm feeling swamped, I even can notice my lack of contribution to the cyber world, when I used to update more regularly, twit much more, uploads pictures and so much more. I don't even skype with my nephews ne more. lol. Pity.

Ne ways, like always I'm just going to give some bits and pieces of my boring life. Basically an update and I promise I will download all the pictures I took of my vacation and upload them here.

I kind of got tracked away from what is going around the world. I'm thankful to alemarat alyoum application on my phone that keeps updating me with shocking titles. and yes I don't bother reading the whole thing, the titles are enough to explain how overwhelming things are. Used to depend on Twitter but somehow, I also find myself in the middle of nowhere since I didn't get the story from the beginning.

Now, serious blackberriers, what's with the trending topics. It is funny how people tend to move from one subject to the other, what is even better, they totally forget about the old topic and start making a big fuss about the new one. Some end up with ridiculous humiliating jokes that also end up to lies... etc. So, what is going on, if you know I'd really love to understand.

How about series? I guess I haven't seen anything of the last seasons of the series I watch. I don't feel like downloading them, because it takes some effort, I wish there is this magic machine and all I need to do is shout it out and it downloads whatever I want. haha.

Snowboarding now, my friend Nawras is my buddy. This is to my friend: *could you please be much more punctual with your timings* yes, we are always an hour late before we leave to Dubai for our practice/ fun day. I'm getting the hang of it now, I just need to be able to shift my weight much more faster, which actually means I need my own board. I got the boots made with boa technology. I'm in love with them.

The only problem is that Ski Dubai's boards aren't the best. They are for durable usage but not for learning to be a freelancer. I don't know if I'm making any sense, I just need a flexible board like the ones here:

This is a K2 Bambooyah, it is more than amazing, it bends in a very cool way. *smacking eyelashes* a birthday gift like this will make me faint. lol.

The Burton Lux V Rocker is quite good, they say Burton has the best products, I can't see the difference though.

and the VaVaVoom Rocker from K2 which I found in Dubai but was reluctant about because of the color.

Which one, I still have no idea but I seriously need to get one sooner or later.

Moving on to the work factor, well, it sucks and yeah it just sucks w il7imdillah. il7ayah 7ilwa right...

Vacation to Malaysia truly Asia was amazing. I had an enormously freaking great time. Love my sisters for letting me do the requirements, the booking and the whole thing. It was a really refreshing vacation I needed for so long. Now, I can't talk much about this trip as I promised to post some pictures sometime later.

Shifting to health, hmm let's see. Dr. Maurice says, "don't wait to get your back jumbled and come, come whenever you have time." Dr. Ghaleb says, "you have healthy teeth and gums and you shouldn't be on this chair every now and then." Dr. Sabah says, "your blood tests are good, your skin is 180% better than before, and it didn't mean you should get fat when I said your iron and hemoglobin are low." These are the three main doctors I go to and I love them. Now, I have to lose weight since non of pants fit me, and if they fit I either can't walk or can't sit. I need to lose weight, I hate that I can't stand me getting rounder. I hate that I get tired faster these days. And mostly I hate that my lovely clothes look disgustingly unfashionable because of my figure. Plus, the weather transition is a very nice factor as it contributes to more consumption of pain killers, continuous migraines, inflammation in the sinus, and cranky mood swings. Now, this ends up with me canceling lots of activities and spending afternoons and evenings in my room trying the best way to make the pain go away.

When we were in Malaysia, my sister's friend asked us to buy her some Korean series. She has a huuuuuuge collection, a library mashallah. lol. She sent me 4 for the mean time and I'm watching "My Girl" right now. With subtitles in English! It is not the first time to watch Korean drama, but to have a person who knows the nice ones is really kewl. I don't have to blindly choose anyone, I just have to ask the right person now.

I miss solving jigsaw puzzles so much, I'm afraid I have to still push it aside of the agenda for some time because I can't think rationally and I want to do it with excitement not just for the sake of solving equations. Plus, I'm looking forward to sell the other framed jigsaws. If anyones is interested they are some nice pieces. The made up ones will be something my sister and myself will have to look into sometime in the future as I should work harder on finding the right time to take pictures in the first place.

Reading is getting back to me. I managed to finish and start several stories/ novels, whatever. I finished the 2nd book of Steig Larsson's trilogy and I can't wait to have my hands on the 3rd. I'm just waiting to finish The Abaya Chronicles by Tina Lesher my former media writing professor and Um Cristrian lol. I'm getting the hang of the story butI'm still in the beginning for I limit my reading time to bedtime, but manage to read as much as I can. I'm also reading James Frey's book "my friend Leonard" so I'm pretty in the maze lol.

My birthday is two months from now, I don't know if I want gifts this year. I still have a wish list but everything on it is quiet expensive I don't want to pester people on buying me anything. So, I'm confused. Let's put it here:

- I no more want the LG tv but the Samsung 7 series 46" inch one, the one that has skype so I can skype with Saeed and Ahmed.

- A snowboard with lovely supportive bindings.

- A new macbook pro (13 inch - i7 processor).

- Shoes.

- A simple birthday card.

- Ahhh, the 5D Mark II Canon body only.

I sound so materialistic 5ala9 cross out everything but for the card and anything from tiffany is much appreciated. :$.

Education to me is really important. I want to go back to school. I want to have a pencil case with my pens, yellow highlighters only and pencils. I want to stay awake studying. I want to sleep in bed with my laptop beside me tired of typing essays and projects. I have this passion for studying and I really desperately want it.

On the other hand, I'm working really hard to make my business excel. I'm looking forward to expand some way or another and it reaches to the point where your don't know what is next and what should you prepare for. I'm just thankful to my sisters for supporting me to the very current and future. To my friends for exposing me as some kind of diva *I heart all of you*. For my customer whom crave my cookies and call or email from time to time. Even bro K, made me feel ecstatic when he compared my cookies to someone else's saying mine tasted way much better. And to my friend T whom heats them up in the microwave and says mmmmm it is yummy. I love you all to pieces.

I believe in MAGIC!

It might sound so tacky, but world with no magic is life food without spices. Ok, this is a worser example. Ne ways, magic to me is Disney world, or at least disney animated cartoon movies. Many people, especially grown ups think these are just kids entertainment, however, to me its the MAGICAL WORLD. Where everything is always happily ever after even with sad endings, where the impossible is possible, where there is always a hero and a villain, where laugher never ends.

So are you a disney animated cartoons fan? which one/s is or are your favorite? Do you collect those movies? In Arabic or English?

I have a mission for myself and hopefully I'll be successful. I'm gonna have to get my whole collection of those cartoons in DVD. Then I can live my MAGICAL WORLD the way I want.

untitled random talk...

Again, I don't even know where to start. A lot turns, bumps and whatever you'd call 'em, are just flowing in my path. Just like any ordinary person. Ordinary girl in the end, but I believe with some little special things. Ne ways, no boosting.

The working environment can be very tiring if you allow it to be so. But sometimes, other factors actually play a role. Regardless of those factors and reasons, things reached to the point where I felt everything was just suffocating. I did a great decision by heading to Makkah for Umrah. Yes, the best decision I ever made since the beginning of this year. It was just soothing. Cleansing. I even can't wait to go again. I don't recall the times I cried there out of fear, but wallah it felt good, it felt right. I'm not sure I let out everything I ever wanted to let out, however, I came back with a better spirit. The spirit of keeping up with my prayers, reading Quran for tilawa purposes like I used to do before and look for the best. Ask guidance from Allah and work hard on achieving what I really want. It has been helping me a lot. especially with getting along with people.

Ne ways, I'm back to snowboarding. The fact that the instructor and a friend staff praised my reflexes, being able to balance myself even better and control avoiding accidents was just all I needed. Should be back in field in whenever, lol, but very soon. And so, I decided I might buy my own Board, Bindings and Boots. Still deciding though. Online will be my best option or simply when I travel, I should get them. They are just not unique here in the UAE shops and quiet expensive for their original price.

The photography workshop my colleague and myself started at work turned out to be a wonderful one. It is basically a review button for me with more emphasis on creative composition techniques. I ended up purchasing a lens, sending my camera for sensor cleaning, burrowing my friend's camera and thinking of purchasing an extra body. Luckily, found a good shop in Dubai that will be giving good deals better than the ones the markets in Abu Dhabi and Dubai too. I do enjoy photography especially when traveling and I can't wait to catch a flight out of this place to explore. My iPad has become a good equipment to carry around, since I'm downloading the pictures directly from my camera to the iPad instead of carrying a heavy laptop around to check the quality of the images. I can't promise posting any pictures right now, but soon, the more I have time to do photography I will inshallah post anything.

Let us say, around a month ago, Ahmed was here, so we went for a snowboarding session and it was the worst time ever. Endless falls because my board bindings were all wrong and not set properly. Ne ways, rephrasing that, because I kept falling and did hurt my body unintentionally, I went shopping after that. Bought few pairs of jeans and some tops. It made me feel better at least. Few treatment sessions with Dr. Maurice the Chiropractic turned everything back to normal. So, the pairs of jeans were sent for alteration, but guess what, in that one month, I gained more weight and I couldn't wear my new jeans. They wont either zip or they would just look so tight and ugly, I would suffocate. Even older jeans wont or looked abnormal on me. I couldn't handle it and so back to the gym. It's been two weeks now, no 1 week and I'm not sure if what i'm doing is right or wrong. Having to eat at random hours of the day or simply the wrong food at the wrong timing is overwhelming. I need a stop for that. Maybe I should register with one of those diet centers. At least for the 5 working days of the week.

Shugon, is not a bad book, but the book that wouldn't finish. It is lovely and delicately written, but the details are just so much. I reached half way through, I'm loving the turn of scenes and ideas in the story, however, I just couldn't make myself read more. Etisalat bill in the bookmark to where I've stopped for some time now. In that mean time, I read a book and I seriously can't remember what it was about, not even the title. I'm also reading the second book by James Frey the Alcohol and drugs addict, "my friend Leonard". Interesting yes, still in the beginning and need to catch up with my reading.

Looking forward to March, several events will take place, plus me going on leave twice in the same month. Cruel right. Well, I had some leave days from last year and if I don't take them, I will lose them. So beat it, I'm just going to sit at home and enjoy my time. Yeah well, movies to watch, snowboarding, photography, gyming, reading and twittering. Ummm, ok, I should start planning those days. Annual party is going to be in March this year and I really want to see how it will go, since I refused objectively to help them with anything. People should learn to respect to gain respect. Plus, desert safari trip with work is kinda weird for me but sounds fun right. I was asked if I'm joining the gang for transportation and there goes me refusing. I can't, it drives me nuts. Shakespeare plays will be held in March too. Looking forward to watch The Tragedy of Macbeth, not because I'm fond of Shakespeare and his classics, but because back in uni, we watched the Japanese adaptation and wrote a khaleeji adaptation as a report and now, I just want to enjoy it. Yeah, I know, I can feel your facial expressions right now. lol.

Now, politics. Ummm. My newswire is Twitter. I depend fully on it to know what is going around in this world. From early morning saying GM or whatever until the moment I fall asleep. Tunis, Egypt, Libya, Yemen, Bahrain, who's next... Doesn't it feel like its the end of the world. The day of judgement! 3alamat ilsa3ah ilkobra. Well one of them is that the muslim empire goes weak and has no ruler. Ummm, Tunis hasn't got a ruler now, Egypt not, Libya #Gathafi, excuse me stop fooling around and shouting out crap, Bahrain, huh, I don't even know what to say, hence what to even think...

I guess I've said a lot, although in today's Quran radio channel (9aba7 ilnoor program) the topic of the day was the regression of saying words not meant to be said and silence is the glorified solution. Ne ways, wont say anything more.

Where shall I start? lots to say... ne ways, I will go backwards remembering what I can and the dull updates of my life.

- Somehow I couldn't finish Shogun, not because it is boring, it isn't, but because I just couldn't handle reading that huge book. So, I kept it on a side and got The Outcast by Sadie Jones, I must say I give it a 9/10. It felt great to be able to read, just read freely and enjoying the read. So the book turned good and now it is in the box with the rest of the others to be sent for exchange or charity or whatever it is.

- It is not like you don't take care of your hair and all, it just that from time to time, you need a major polish. I had that and I'm feeling great. A trim was also good, giving my haircut the the sharp edges it needed.

- It doesn't surprise me that there are some people who do things out of goodwill, not actually waiting for anything in return from you or from others. It is just you let them in your life and they become part of it. But, they care about you and you success for no reason, or maybe because they have been through it and they don't want you to go through it and get hurt. Sometimes, it is just that they believe in you so much. I'm grateful for having you in my life.

- Unintentionally, few tears escape, but she holds me and says, they are just not worth your tears, don't ever let them see you weak, they will take the pleasure of it.

- It feels like living in a life when all your loved ones around you but you feel you are a stranger and lonely.

- Pity, at how men let women handle things when all they could do is just raise their voices a bit.

- I miss cooking and baking and my time in the kitchen.

- Being brave, isn't being OK, you never know how fragile a person can be.

- It is a very small world and it is scary sometimes. What is a surprise is that sometimes people just talk about your life and mention anything about you, not to gossip but to say a fact, but they weren't that close to your life to know this much about it. But, they know so much about you and you never notice. At least I don't notice.

- Sometimes, you make decision so fast, and they all work out without any hassle and it is just right, but sub7an allah, things happen, destiny they call it right, and all of a sudden those decisions you've made are all just wrong. But, it feels so good, and right, yet you don't know if it is ok, right, wrong...

It's been time since I last updated, I guess I just lost my words somewhere. Typing this post isn't even easier but I will try to just talk and say what I really have to say.

The other day my brother came marching to my room and said, "don't you have a life? why are you always in your room?" Yes, I became this boring person, isolated person and like to keep things to my self. Plus, I started doing everything on my own and that would include the fun part.

Though, I'm not sure if I should blame myself for isolating myself or people for decoding to keep distance. Ne ways, I guess blaming no one is the best. What is really annoying though is that I wish I'm doing something beneficial. I'm spending my time either sleeping or staring blankly at space leading me to also go back to sleep.

What is wrong with me is something I really would like to figure out? And what I want is something very clueless because I don't know what I want anymore. simply lost.

Speaking it up on my blog doesn't mean I want to talk about it, I'm just putting facts on the table.

The a** kissing world

Once upon a time, it was around this time of the year when I took a decision and joined a company which seemed so dazzling to me for some reason and I started my career as an internal comms. specialist. Poor me worked my a** off and managed to make a difference with the hope that that change would be recognized. Now after almost a year of keeping u with crap, I'm still in the same company where most a** kissers work and everything is just so fake.

It is the time of the year where a change should take place, and I'm already on the hunt all over again.

Just to make it clear, it is not what I do as a job what's really bad, however, the "high flyers" or the "top notches" as they call them, are the ones creating all the scene.

I don't really understand, although *WAS6A* can be on your side sometimes, but why would people be so f****** hypocrites. What even amazes me is that they reach the very top simply by just sitting doing nothing and talking like they know everything. Wrong people in the wrong positions, less educated people for education needed positions and the whole crap. Can't they see that they are humiliating themselves more than showing they can do better or at least something good, not even close to perfect.

Ne ways, now, I sorta feel sorry for myself, but again, I've learned my way though and I definitely learned a great lesson I wont ever forget. As a person with very short temper, I really don't even know how I controlled myself and stayed patient all this time. I guess because I loved what I did but I hated my two bosses. I still detest them and wont change my mind about that.

For now, I'm keeping low profile and delivering great quality outcomes to the very last moment, and when the right one comes, it will be the time when I drop my bomb.

This is the last revised version of 2010 resolutions, let us see what I have accomplished.

- Since I have't travelled much in 2009, I shall travel more this year inshallah. Lebanon, Bahrain, London, Qatar (twice) and Oman.

- Redecorate my room. Done!

- Excel at work. Performance is good, yet I don't like my boss.

- Excel in my business. It is not as easy as I thought it would ever be, but I'm surviving.

- Manage to save about 100k dirhams by the end of the year. Done and spent it all. lol.

- Keep mom HAPPY. :)

- Help bro plan for his wedding. Cancelled...

- Keep my hair healthy and yeah I *heart* Kerastase for being a big help. New haircut, new hair dye, and treatments all the time. My hair is healthier il7imdillah.

- Try not to forget that I should take care of my beauty. I'm trying my best.

- Keep smiling. There are those days when you try but you just can't fake it anymore.

- I'm fit now, I like my figure, I'm this inch close to the result I want and I shall maintain it inshallah. Was fit, gained weight and I shall go back to getting thinner but all I can think of is sweets all day long. Cakes, cookies, ice cream, macaroons and the whole.

- Find a very good Doc to treat my carpal tunnel syndrome. Dr. Maurice.

- Migraines, ok I will try my best to go under an organized diet and stop getting angry plus stressed for no reason. I live on pills, so I'm good, I know when I have to take them and that's all that matters.

- Participate in more society events. Yeah, the movies is my best place lol.

- Take photography lessons. Failure!

- Become better in French. Starting again after new years.

- Have those damn braces off. DONE!

- Maybe buy a new car, I still love my dear Bluey though. Yes, I got a new car.

the day I hailed a TAXI in Abu Dhabi

Sitting side by side in the emergency waiting room at one of the private medical clinics in Abu Dhabi for an hour was such a waste of time when both of us decided to just download applications on our phones. We had a plan, we wanted to achieve something by the end of the day and I had a movie outing with my friends to attend, but my sister and myself sat dumbly laughing and giggling at stupid jokes, playing games and not even bothering, when we were waiting for the doctor to see my infected ears.

Ne ways, it did hit us that we were such a waste of time after an hour of waiting. So, I shooed her to finish some errands and come and collect me. As soon as she stepped foot outside the hospital, I was called in. It took me 15 minutes to finish and do all the payments. I called her and she said, " opsy, you will have to wait...!!" I said, "no you tell me where are you and I will come over by taxi." I paused a bit and asked, "It's safe right? Should I be scared?!"

See it is clean, that's one, 2: secure...!

That was the day I ever hailed a taxi in the stupidest way ever in Abu Dhabi. It was such an adventure since I didn't know the location properly and gave the taxi driver hints about it and him shouting back at me saying he knows the way *it felt like him trying to say, shut the hell up, you already told me where to go." lol.

It never occurred to me I will ever use a taxi, but it seems it is very efficient and safe now that I tried it. Park my car one place and get into taxis from one place to another. Especially with the dilemma that our new driver (which I hate and am scared of) is for my MOM.

I really appreciate when people really notice what I love and love me for being me. (who doesn't)
Everything in a blue Tiffany box is HEAVEN, lol.
Control your anger and avoid misunderstandings, they put you in trouble. (I always end up in trouble)
Phone conversations late at night when you can't sleep makes you really want to sleep. I tried it, lol.
Fashion is a killer, but what the heck.
How can I control my spendings? Spend it allllll. (@Standy, that marks me as an expensive friend)
Having fun alone, can be totally fun since no one is interested in joining you.
I disagree with my dentist, there is something fishy about the excruciating pain in my teeth.
Even if know, your knowledge is always limited and there is a change you can learn beyond those limits.

Dear Parents, (that includes elder siblings)

I know I'm a kid for you and will always be, I know I'm a girl but you raised me well (I guess, lol) and above all you gave me TRUST. Trust that even when doing something wrong I keep remembering because it will haunt me for days and days.

It is 2010, right, well the end of 2010, which means a decade of the millennium, right?! Ok, basically, it is not the 50's nor the 60's and definitely not the 70's. (mid 70's+ ppl are suffering like us) We grew up, but in our own way of understanding, the modern way and you can't judge us for that nor can you keep lingering and comparing our acts with the old days. Seriously, we are beyond that now. (You would say to us "grow up!" and the only thing we would like to say is "hey, just stay kewl") Growing up is the meanest thing ever and enjoying our lives is the only way we can think.

Now, what's with "you are late?!" it is 7pm and you say it is late and make emergency calls.

"What's with seeing a car which has the same color as my car and alert the whole family, if there is an accident, just to make sure I'm not?!" I believe in destiny, don't we all. So, check the car before you assume it is me.

"What's with calling mid working day and I'm still at the office and asking "where the hell are you?"" I'm at work, doing WORK.

"What's with you can't travel alone but you can go abroad on a scholarship and study alone?"

"What's with making a big fuss about leaving the house to watch a movie at night in front of people but when alone you dismiss me without saying anything?" (showoff mathalan)

What's with so many things...? huh.

I'm not saying don't be protective and care for us, but think of it logically and give us some space, really it pisses us off. You are not to give us all that freedom and just take it when we grow up. You ought not to at all (ok you do but but but)

So, dear parents, we really love you and we don't want to break the rules and be rude to you, but please CHILL OUT! we need our SPACE.

You might be at work and craving GOOD food, or at home lazy to leave your cozy spot, or simply just not in the mood to dine out. All you want is FINE FOOD. I guess this was shared some time ago on Twitter, but just popped into my mind and thought of blogging about it. It's www.roomservice.ae, a well done initiative to satisfy our taste buds, just an hour away.

All you need to do, is register an account, order and submit, or as simple as it gets, ring them with your order. It will be the cost of the food, delivery charge and an hour away. Can you track your order? Refresh and you will be able to check if it is getting prepared, being packed and being delivered.

Have I tried it? AKEED. Shame that the list of Abu Dhabi restaurants registered to Room Service is still not that much of a list, actually menu, but when I called, they promised to update with more restaurants soon.

How about payment? Well, it's either online using your credit card OR on delivery either by CASH or CREDIT CARD too.

I guess, I started loving this service. I would want something similar to do my groceries and don't say souq.com, I've never been convinced of this website as a shopping tool. Ne ways, if you are in Dubai, try it, if you are in Abu Dhabi, also try it, it's just the most convenient food delivery service.
